Hey, You...

Hey, you. I'm back.

And I totally missed PJP.

Last week found Behind-The-Scenes-Tech-Guru Jason, our kids, and I traveling through the Caribbean with absolutely NO INTERNET ACCESS.  As in COMPLETELY OFF THE GRID.  As in AIRPLANE MODE for seven solid days or the risk of being charged international plan fees and/or .75 cents a minute to use the ship's wi-fi (and as soon as I'm done here, I'm drafting a strongly worded letter to Carnival Cruise Lines, because this clearly isn't 1995 any longer and people NEED THEIR WI-FI, EVEN ON VACATION).

I foolishly assumed that at least once a day or so, I'd have some sort of limited texting or phone ability and so when I said goodbye to Jeanne on Sunday, I said I would talk to her the next day.  Except it was seven days later.  And look, Jeanne and I NEVER go a day without talking to each other.  So this was basically like 145,000 days in Jeanne and I years.  And I worried.  I worried how she was doing and how it was going and if she had everything she needed and if she got the orders done and if she was worried about us and if she missed us and if she just threw in the towel and closed early on the theory of "I'M OVER IT".  (Don't kid yourself though, between my baseless episodes of worry, I found plenty of opportunities to have a ridiculous amount of fun with my people.)

And minus being out of baby boxes and running low on nine-inch pie tins and a few overwhelming moments of technology, she did just fine.  Which is just how it works...when she is gone, I am just fine.  But we aren't as happy without each other.  It is pretty lame, but we have so much more fun when we are out of baby boxes and running low on nine-inch pie tins together.  We are a Co-Dependents Anonymous nightmare.

I'm completely happy to be back in the Team PJP routine.  I can't wait for us to have our coffee together tomorrow and discuss all the things I actually had time to think about because I wasn't Facebooking/Tweeting/Instagramming/texting/emailing/blogging/ or plotting WPD using my Evernote app.

And she really just can't wait for me to order baby pie boxes.
