Not That Crazy

So, we’ve had a busy few days at PJP Nifong (and PJP West End too, actually). We are rolling right into the thick of pie season and with just three weeks to go until Thanksgiving, we have over 1,000 pie orders. That’s my subtle way of saying, IF YOU HAVEN’T YET ORDERED, DON’T DELAY.

Here are a few things to discuss:

  1. By now, you’ve likely seen our Logboat collaboration - the Peggy Jean Pecan Pie Porter. Locally, you can find it at Hyvee, Gerbes, and Macadoodles and on tap at Logboat. Statewide, you can find it in stores that carry Logboat. We had the most fun working on this project. I passed a guy walking around Hyvee today holding a four-pack and I wanted to be all “hey…that’s us”, but it felt awkward.

  2. And over at PJP West End, both the electricians and painters should finish in the next few days. And if we all cross our fingers, our exterior sign might make an appearance late this week.

  3. Oh, what did I keep saying all summer? That as long as PJP West End didn’t open Thanksgiving week, I would be fine. And as you might guess, it looks like we will be right on target to be cleared for final inspection on the Monday of THANKSGIVING WEEK. I’m not even kidding. (In which case, we will open post-Thanksgiving because we are crazy. But not that crazy.)

  4. We’ve joined Big Tree Medical so that we can offer all of our employees access to insurance. I guess that is relatively interesting if you are into the details of insurance, which I am not. But Jason is and this has been VERY exciting for him.

  5. And finally our trash was removed from the dumpster and opened up and dumped at our back door, so I guess we are in a dumpster war that didn’t even know we were invited to. The city requires us to share a dumpster with our neighbors at Subway, though they REALLY don’t want to share. Please see the photo below for evidence (also, peep that rusted back door…that’s niiiiiiiiiice, said no one ever.)
