Jeanne-ology: Amen & Hallelujah

Hi There - It’s Thursday and I made sure to remind Jeanne early in the afternoon that it was her turn to blog. And that’s good, because she thought today was Wednesday. Sounds right. Enjoy! Rebecca

Hello Thursdays Readers! Another bitter and cold week has passed. I am not complaining because the electricity is on and the house is warm. It makes me feel stressed seeing so many others without heat and electricity. Let's all keep good thoughts going for them and hope the situation turns around quickly. (Rebecca editing to add: Truth. I had small scale stress yesterday about no water for an hour. Occasionally I need a dose of perspective.)

Rebecca and my Son-In-Law have so very helpful in helping me with groceries and driving me where I need to go. One of the perks from living across the road from each other. I have stayed home all week helping my husband on his path to healing. He is doing much better and I want to thank all of you for warm thoughts! (Rebecca editing to add: She has no business out in the cold, ice, and snow. I’ve literally seen her roll over her own foot in an office chair, so I consider her a full-time fall risk.)

The pie shop was closed on Monday and Tuesday because of the snow. Rebecca was a hot mess (her description) during this time. I think she analyzed every snowflake she could to determine if we made a mistake! We are missing revenue and our employees need work hours. She must have said this many, many times that I finally reminded her that she cannot control the weather! When she becomes my age, she probably will yelling the same thing to my granddaughter! Since we have re-opened, she has found her routine again making plans. Thank goodness! (Rebecca editing to add: I have no defense statement to this. All true. I was a lot to deal with.)

I will be returning next week for a few hours each morning. I will have to get more into a routine. Routines are a nemesis for me, but I have no doubt handling the morning routines will become second nature for me throughout the week, Temperatures should start rising and the snow melting. My husband getting better and a pie baking routine to round out the day. I'm living the life! (Rebecca editing to add: “ROUTINES ARE A NEMESIS FOR ME.” Lord, I’ve never read such truth from her. I’m so happy this will live in infamy on the Internet.)
