Super Fans.

It’s no lie that I seriously have a case of whisking elbow from our busy weekend. It’s akin to tennis elbow, just with significantly less running and significantly more pies produced. At any rate, here’s what else is going on at PJP this week:

  1. It is awards season at Missouri based magazines. We are honored to be nominated for Best Dessert by Inside Columbia and Best Bakeshop by Feast. Please insert image of Sally Field accepting her Academy Award and proclaiming “YOU LIKE ME, YOU REALLY LIKE ME” here…except change “me” to “us” and disregard if you are under 30 because you probably don’t even know who Sally Field is or that she ever doubted herself.

  2. Jeanne has been busy working on a tiramisu pie, complete with from-scratch ladyfingers. In full disclosure, neither of us had ever eaten tiramisu before our month long out-of-state adventure. We tried it and loved it and immediately started considering how to make it a pie and this is where Jeanne is at her best. She patiently piped ladyfinger filling on to a baking sheet, whereas I would have Googled where to buy ladyfingers. (Also, who thought “ladyfinger” was a good cookie name?)

  3. We are just about 50 likes from 10,000 likes on Facebook. And because I’m a competitive person by nature, I’m super amped from the validation of 10,000 people and I’m not ashamed to admit it because PJP is a delight and she deserves an army of a fan base.

  4. We’ve also implemented a Facebook group for PJP super fans. We will drop additional content, some early access information, and other fun surprises. It’s really just for those of you that want to hear more from us than you currently do (and goodness, when I type that out, I think “we already talk so much…and yet, we always have more to say”.) If you think this sounds like a fit for you, drop us a comment and we will send you an invite.

  5. And speaking of World Pie Domination, we now offer a four pack of tarts for shipping. You’ll receive a box of Dutch Apple, Peach Praline, Chocolate Bourbon Pecan, and Brown Butter Chess tarts for $16.99, plus shipping (calculated on your final destination). The tarts are three inches in diameter and a completely different experience - and lower price point - than the six pack of jars, so we are excited to add this to our online collection to share more PJP with more people
