Jeanne-ology: Never Better

It’s Thursday already and. Jeanne has. some thoughts about this week. She texted me earlier to let me know she had emailed the blog to me and I immediately responded to her with something I wanted her feedback on. She never answered me because I swear that sometimes she texts me and then immediately goes outside and throws her phone out into the forest behind her house. Enjoy! Rebecca

Hello Thursday Readers!  Another week, and the first day of fall has happened!  In a way, the summer passed quickly, didn’t it?  Thanksgiving is moving closer and Rebecca and I have to make some serious decisions about Thanksgiving orders.  We are already receiving orders, so a firm plan is needed soon. (Rebecca editing to add: Gulp.)

We are having our September pie tasting tomorrow and it will be the last tasting party for the year.  October through December is heavy with corporate orders and customer pie orders.  So much that trying to do a pie tasting during this time is overwhelming. (Rebecca editing to add: I think the list of flavors for tomorrow’s tasting is the best menu we’ve done so far. We will be back in January with at least two tasting events because we have all the renewed hope for 2021.)

Our supplier of jelly jars is telling us that they cannot order any more jars!  Evidently, so many people canned their vegetables this year that it created  shortage of jars.  We work with Westlake’s to get our jars and they are working hard to find another supplier. (Rebecca editing to add: Dilemmas like this are Jeanne’s wheelhouse. She LIVES for the mystery of a national canning jar shortage and what we should do in response. I think it is from all the Gunsmoke she watches. I feel like Marshall Dillion would figure this out ASAP.)

On a personal note, I convinced Rebecca to purchase the Crossover Bissell floor mop. Today she was telling me how much she loved this machine and how easy it was to use.  She had mopped two days ago and mopping again with the Crossover cleaned up so much dirt that she was amazed how much more clean her floors looked.  If anyone has trouble with their back when mopping or mopping and leaving a film or streaks on the floor, you really need to buy one!  I think that I might need to purchase one for our shop and maybe the staff would get excited enough to use it. (Rebecca editing to add: When the Queen of Clean speaks, you listen. My floors have never looked better.)
